What exactly is a three hour glucose test and if the results come back at the third hour with your sugar reading 55 is that a bad reading? I am in the military is this something that could affect a career?

I believe you're referring to the glucose tolerance test. The idea is to give you a predetermined amount of glucose and then see how your body responds with insulin to get the glucose levels down to normal after so many hours. Normal would be 70 to 110. 55 is quite low... I'm pretty sure that would qualify as hypoglycemia. I don't know what the military's standard is for blood sugar levels and regulation thereof.
