My dad for no reason had a a seizure today!. The blood work came back ok!. It seems to be ok !.!.Is there any reason!. He is on cumiden,

Seizures can occur for many different reasons, including hypotension (which can be a complication of blood pressure meds), hypoglycemia, and electrolyte disturbances!. It can also be a manifestation of a bleed in the brain (more common with those on Coumiden)!. But, your dad would have had attention from a doctor (I assume), and all these would have been checked out!.
The most common reason for seizures in a patient with a history of strokes, is damage from the strokes!. In fact, strokes are the #1 cause of epilepsy (a tendency to have seizures) in the elderly!. In the absence of further seizures, nothing specific needs to be done, but if epilepsy develops, then medical treatment is usually warranted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
