I took high dosages of Interferon for 11 months!. It worked exactly as the predicted!. It held off remission for 11 months!. It is a rough drug with serious side effects!. It is not a cure all, but for later stages melanoma, it is about the only effective treatment other than surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Same reason any other therapy that works sometimes- the target either doesn't respond or gets resistant to the treatment!. Just like with antibiotics!. Cancer cells are not stupid, and they have devised clever ways to get around the body's defense mechanisms!. Some people have been cured with interferon; some possibly would have been but they couldn't tolerate the drug's toxicity!.
