I have a terrible feeling of weakness. Whats wrong with me?!

Question:

I have a terrible feeling of weakness. Whats wrong with me?

Sometimes I feel like starving even though I just ate or that I'm so tired to the bones. I had laboratory examination on electrolytes but didnt see anything wrong.

Answers:

If it's a marked weakness, meaning that it's not just a general fatigue, don't be afraid to demand a full blood workup from your physician. Electrolytes are only a small piece of a puzzle when it comes to 'energy.' Anemia has to do with an iron defenciency and it will totally zap your body's ability to keep you active. There are many other offenders as well...chronic fatigue syndrom (CFS...you may want to google it) and other diseases from mono to Lyme disease that will totally rob you of your energy.
Make a list of other symptoms you may be experiencing to get the best treatment as 'lack of energy' is a very vague and common symptom that (as others pointed out) can even be caused by depression, lack of sleep (anxiety) and other mental issues.
Generally with more serious problems, you will have other issues and other symptoms that will help your physician figure out what the problem is with a series of blood work and some other tests.
