Do skin doctors really know what they're doing?!

Question: Do skin doctors really know what they're doing!?
I asked my doctor if I had skin cancer or if my mole looked bad, and all he did was look at it for a few seconds and told me all is good but get it removed if it bothers me!. I mean, how are you really supposed to know by looking at a mole if it's cancerous or not!? I feel that he just dismisses my case because I'm young and not white!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you need a second opinion!. Remember, if you are not satisfied with the diagnosis of any doctor, regardless of your age/race, you always have the benefit of a second opinion!. If your insurance gives you a problem, carefully read your policy about second opinions because it should contain a clause!. I think I would feel the same as you did but some of these older guys can do just that, look at it and say it is fine!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I guess since you are not white everyone is against!.
Hint, you are seeing the wrong type of doctor, see a black one since any white one is apparently a racist to you!.

The doctor is using his education and experience to say it is nothing!.
The doctor stated get it removed if it will cause mental distress and worry for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are seeing a Dermatologist, it is more likely that he knows what he is doing!. A family physician also should be able to determine that!. Now remember, a lot of the diagnosis came from their medical education and their experiences!. Sometimes you have to remember that they are people, they use their judgments in some cases which would be their educated judgment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is not your age or your race!

I had the same report from asking my oncologist (i've had breast cancer) about a mole, and I am white and 50!

I had the mole removed and biopsied!. He was right, no cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont think they do!.!.!.but dont feel bad its not because you're not white, they guess diagnose just as much with any raceWww@Answer-Health@Com
