Systemic allergic reactions are caused by eating a food that you are allergic to, or breathing in something you are allergic to!. Systemic reactions can occur very quickly or take several days to run their course!. An antihistamine such as benedryl helps, but it also makes most people extremely sleepy!. If you have a systemic reaction and it starts affecting your face, lips or throat, you need to get to an ER immediately!.

It sounds like a contact allergy!. It could be the bug spray or something else you are coming in contact with!. Try to figure out what new things you may have touched!. I have contact allergies to shampoo and daisies!. It should go away in a day or 2 unless you are still touching whatever it is that you are allergic to!.
