Question: Have fever I feel cold but body is hot!?
Is this normal!? Should I put on a sweatshirt and put sheets on top of me when I sleep even though when I touch my body its hot!? 100-102 fever (When I woke up it was 101!.3, in the afternoon it was 100!.9 and then in the night it shot to 102!.4 since I covered myself with sheets while I was lying in bed and wore a sweatshirt even though my body was hot yet I felt cold!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is normal to feel cold, but you should not cover up too heavily(cover lightly for comfort reasons)!. The body needs the heat to escape from it, so covering will only hold in the heat!. When my daughter was in the hospital with pneumonia, they absolutely refused to let me cover her with a blanket, even though she was shivering!. You sweat when you break the fever, but when you have it you feel cold!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes cover up!.Whats happening is your body is trying to cool down(its natural process) but your fever is thriving when this happens!.What you need to do is sweat!.This will push the virus giving you the fever to work faster and eventually die!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
trust me, it's completely normal to feel cold when you have a fever and yes put on a sweatshirt and all that when you are sleeping!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
