No it is not a diuretic, if someone with a heart condition has too much fluid in the body needs a diuretic it is usually lasix that is given!. Digitek is a form of digoxin which is given to assist in the function of the heart!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
my son is on Digoxin which is a form of digitek!. Basically what it does is slow the heart rate and cause the heart to beat more efficiently!. The way it was explained to me was that it makes the heart beat slower but harder!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
