Adderall XR ...terrible.?!
Question: Adderall XR !.!.!.terrible!.!?
I couple months ago, i took my brothers immediate release Adderall because i thought i had A!.D!.D!. to see if it would help me!. It worked wonders, so my mom set up an appointment with a psych to get me tested!. I do have A!.D!.D!., and i was prescribed Adderall XR yesterday!. I took 10 mg this morning, and it didnt do a thing for me!. I couldnt focus in school, and i was irritable!. And tired, the WHOLE day!. Should i stick with the Adderall XR, just to see if it works out, or should i go to my psych to ask for regular, generic, immediate release Adderall!? Also, what were your experiences on Adderall/Adderall XR!?

10mg is a low dose!. If I remember correctly, I actually started at 10 and went all the way up to 30 before I was taken off of it!.

Adderall xr is the extended release one!. which means that it will slowly be absorbed in you body and it effects last longer!. I works wonders for me!. But you might need a higher dose or you might need the immediate release like what your brother have!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have never been on adderall, but in my opinion give it a few weeks and ride it out and see if it eventually works!. If not, head back to your psych!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah - I take instant release!. I took concerta for a while which was extended release (but I had to take a really really strong dose of it)!.!.!. because the extended release is stretched out over many many hours (10-12)!. It worked okay, but after about 3 hours I was just sort of zonked out!. I've never tried Adderall XR - though I could imagine that 10mg stretched out over that period of time would not do much at all!. Don't stress it though, the psychologist is just testing the waters first to find out which dose is right for you!. Though we all have ADD, some of us have it worse than others!. I am prescribed 2 20mg tablets twice daily - and it works great for me, but it took some trial and error to find out what dose was right for me!. Just hang in there and talk to your psych about it when you go back for evaluation!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
