Why would my triglycerides be too low?!


Question: Why would my triglycerides be too low!?
My triglycerides are 61 and the bottom of the normal range is 65!. Is this harmful in any way and what could cause it!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

The articles I've seen always mention 10 mg/dl as "too low" but if you're concerned I would talk to your doctor about it!.

"Extremely low triglycerides levels (less than 10 mg/dL) can also indicate a problem!. Low levels may indicate malnutrition (not enough nutrients in the diet), malabsorption (inadequate absorption of nutrients in the intestinal tract), a diet too low in fat, or an overactive thyroid problem!. "

I would any negative side effects of low triglycerides would be negative effects of the underlying cause like malnutrition or thyroid problems, and not so much the triglycerides, which are more of an indicator!.

If your doctor thinks you're at risk for any of these problems I'm sure he/she will let you know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
