Question: I have psoriasis!. HELP!!?
i discovered it in 2nd grade and it went away for the most part in grades 3-6!. last year in 7th grade it came back but it is only here in the winter and i hate it!. i go to dermatologist and they gave me a medicine but i can only use it for 2 weeks and then i have to stop for 2 weeks!. how do i make sure it doesn't come back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's really no way of preventing them!. You need to keep your skin as moist as possible!. Use gentle laundry soap, do not use soap on your body!. No lotions that contain fragrance or anything!. You can try teatree oil!. Take fish or flaxseed oil!. There's a bunch of different viatmins that are said to help!. Just google psoriasis and you will be able to find a bunch of info!. I have psoriasis too! It totally sucks in the Winter, because it makes you really self-conscious not to mention it itches!

One thing I use is Neutrogena T-Gel!. They have two strengths!. You want the extra-strength!. The regular strength didn't do anything for me (I have really bad psoriasis on my scalp)!. The extra-strength got rid of the itching in 2 days and all the flaking was gone in a week!
I get it behind my ears as well, and I used it behind my ears in the shower and they got much better! You could purchase it and rub it on the affected area in the shower to see if it calms it down!.

I have a couple spots on my legs!. I take a foot file and slough off the dead patchy skin and make sure I moisturize it every day with any type of lotion!. Sloughing is the key, moisture cannot get to your skin with all the dry dead skin on top!. I hope I have helped!.
