I saw the gynocologist yesterday and he told me I have.....?!

Question: I saw the gynocologist yesterday and he told me I have!.!.!.!.!.!?
HPV!. I don't have the kind with warts or anything!. I don't have any symptoms!. I know it's the most common std out there and that most people have it at some point in their lives if they are sexually active!. My husband felt so bad because he knew it was from him because he's the only guy I've ever been with!. He hasn't been with that many girls, but it doesn't matter!. I'm not mad at him!. I'm just pretty freaked out about it!. It might go away, might not!. I'm just tired of the maybes!. I'm tired of going to the doctor!. I've had to go nearly every month since I've been here! I have to go back next month to get my second Gardisil Vaccine!. (doc recommended to protect against the other forms of HPV) Ok so mine supposedly isn't serious!. How does he know that if they are just now sending off the test to find out which HPV strain I have!? And I will ask which one it is!. There are four that cause cancer and like 10 that have warts(which i know i don't have inside or outside) So what now!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

To worry won't change anything so you might as well try to relax until the doctor gives you more info!. I know that doesn't sound helpful but the truth is that worrying about things will only make you feel worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One in four adults have HPV i'm sorry to say!. Your husband may have been carrying this around him for years before it finally came out!. He could have used his head and knowingly did something about it before he met you, then you both could have used protection!. I say shame on him!.
You'll have to follow through with the treatment so it doesn't get any worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"It might go away, might not!."

Unfortunately, it won't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, take a deep breath and let it out slowly!. The physicians that treat us normally use clinical judgment in addition to lab testing!. I would feel much the same as you if this had happened to me!.

Continuously returning for follow up is a real drag, but your physician feels it necessary to monitor your condition!. It could very well be that your in the very early stages of a flare up!. For now you have every reason to be optimistic!. Sounds like your physician is taking a real interest in keeping you well!.

In much of modern medicine there are no absolutes, just probability!. Don't take this to assume the worst!. We can drive ourselves crazy with what ifs instead of what really is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure what your question is!. STDs happen!. They are a risk anytime you have sex with anyone who has ever had sex with someone else, even if they used protection before and now!. So there is no reason to be mad or upset with your husband or blame him!. It's not like either of you have been symptomatic, so there is no way your husband could have known!. There isn't even an FDA approved test for males who don't have genital warts to determine if they are carrying HPV, and if there are no symptoms, there's no treatment necessary!.
I know maybes are frustrating, but the doctor can't tell you things just to make you happy!. It sounds like your doctor has given you the info, and there is more online, and is thinking about prevention!. When they find out exactly which strain, he may have more info or maybe not!. The reason they are just now sending out the test to determine the strain is that there are something like 130 strains!. It would be ridiculous to test for all of them for every patient!. Instead, they do a screening test along with the Pap smear, and then narrow it down later with the more expensive test!.
I'm not saying don't be concerned, but it's not really a big deal!. Just follow the doctors instruction and try to get on with your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
