Answers:
Your chances of getting diabetes are the same as anyone else who has a family history of diabetes!.

Diabetes is NOT caused by drinking too much pop or eating too many sweets, but it DOES aggravate the problem!. And since your family has a history of diabetes, you are at a greater risk!.

So drinking the soda pop is NOT a good idea!.

Because, if you do get diabetes, you WILL die from it!. The only way that you will not die from diabetes is if you get hit by a truck!.

Diabetes is a very serious disease!. it causes blindness, amputations, kidney disease, high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, high cholesterol, and sexual dysfunction!.

Once you have diabetes, it canNOT be cured!. It can only be treated!. So the best bet is to PREVENT it by watching your diet, and cutting WAY back on those soda pops!

The link between excessive sugar consumption and the onset of diabetes hasn't been proven!. It isn't clear that drinking soda will bring it on faster if you're going to get it anyway!. But some 'experts' think it will!.

Adult onset diabetes is caused by 'insulin resistance'!. Your pancreas reacts to high blood sugar by making insulin and pumping it into your blood!. The insulin acts as a catalyst to make your muscles and other tissues absorb and burn the sugar!. When you have Type 2 diabetes, your pancreas still makes plenty of insulin but your tissues resist it, so the sugar stays in your blood and accumulates, and this causes all kinds of damage!.

When you drink a can of soda that's like eating 12 teaspoons of sugar!. The sugar goes into your blood all at once!. Your pancreas goes crazy and makes a lot of insulin!. In a normal person, you use up all this sugar quickly, but you still have a lot of insulin in your blood so you 'crash', you feel tired and cranky and hungry!.

This is a shock to your system, all that sugar, all at once!. It's murder on a diabetic but it's really not good for -anyone-!.

If you don't want to go diabetic, the LEAST you can do is to switch to diet soda!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, while drinking that much sugar laden liquid will undoubtedly place a strain on your digestive, and possibly your renal system, it will not cause you to get diabetes!. And that is good, because as you read some of the other respondents, you will realize how much the disease is feared, and how little some of them really understand about it!. So, stop with the soda, it costs too much anyway and your teeth will soon decay beyond restoration, your bones will deteriorate to mush, and your stomach will have the pH of battery acid-but it will not cause diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
