How long should I wait before trying to conceive?

I am a type 2 diabetic and for the past month I have been taking my medicine and have been watching what I eat. My blood sugars were in the 200 to Hi. After 2 months I think I finally got it under control. Now the highest it goes is 156 after a meal and usually it will be under 120 in the mornings. I have been trying to conceive for over 1 yr. So my question is should I try to get pregnant now or should I wait another month? Well thank-you all for taking the time to read and hopefully answer my question.

I'm 21 yes I was on clomid for about 2 months before they said I was a diabetic and that we had to stop the treatment. My Dr. said to go back for treatment after my diabetes was controlled. So I'm not sure if I should go back already or give it another month. I'm sorry I should have said this since the beginning.

You would be much better discussing that with your doctor. I doubt there are many pregnancy/diabetes experts here. I would guess you dr might want you stable for a while longer before you try again.
