Answers:
Hepatitis is more contagious than HIV in this case because Hepatitis B & C viruses can live for up to four days outside the body!. HIV dies quickly outside the body, but since he has been exposed to blood, there is a risk factor involved!. Long story short, it can take up to 24 weeks (6 months) for antibodies for HIV, Hep B, and Hep c to appear in his blood!. Good luck to your husband & you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
He is at risk, so I would advise him to get tested 3 and 6 months after the incident, as it can take 3-6 months for HIV antibodies to show up on tests!. (Usually, it only takes 3 months, but in rare cases, it could take up to 6 months to show up!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
