So far no studies have shown accutane to cause infertility!. But the most damaging side effect is the risk to pregnant women!. Accutane has been known to cause serious birth defects!. Women using accutane should be advised to use the best forms of birth control and to stop the use of accutane for a period of time before becoming pregnant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I haven't seen any literature that says it can make one infertile, but if one becomes pregnant while on the drug, the baby will have birth defects!.

Any long term medication can cause liver or kidney damage!.
