Anyone ever had Mono before?!

Yes, and it was a horrible experience!. I had to get a steroid injection on my rump because my tonsils were so swollen, and I was so stuffy I could not breathe!. I could not sleep because of being so congested as well!. Going up the stairs was a problem, I was out of breathe easily!. I also developed a rash on my leg!.

Make sure to drink plenty of fluids!. Use an anti-inflamary drug such as motrin to help the swelling!. THIS HELPS THE MOST!!!!


REST!! Mono is a virus so there is no cure or antibiotic!. Drink plenty of fluids!. Mono is very contagious and spread through saliva, so steer clear, and wash hands!.

BTW it can take up to a month for all of the symptoms to go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes i have had it, im 16!. have him rest and not be in any contact sports or any thing really that you could get hurt doing for about a month(or until doc says) because he could rupture his splein!. which is not good

Yea probably!. i drank out of the same cup as my friend and she did not know she had mono at that time she found out though soon after!. Get well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes ive gotten it twice since end of june,
and am down with it right now for the past two months,
its a very slow prosses getting over it,!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had it!.
Lots of rest, fluids, no heavy lifting and he will feel tired all the time for a few months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
