Answers:
HIV is not transmitted 100% of the time, so her mother may not have gotten it from her father when she was conceived!. If her mother was not HIV + at the time she was born, she would not have been born with HIV!. Also, these days, women who have HIV and are pregnant are given medications to reduce the risk of transmitting the virus to the baby!. Now the risk of transmission of HIV from mother to baby at birth is about 1%!. If the mother does have HIV, the baby is tested at birth and for several months to determine whether or not the baby is HIV+!. (Even years ago, the rate of transmission of HIV from mother to baby at birth was about 20-30%, well below 100%!.)
So yes, it is possible for your friend to be uninfected even though her father had HIV!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If he is the real father, extreme luck!.

HIV (HIV is caught first, which attacks the immune system - AIDS is basically the term for the destruction of the immune system and all other illnesses that now become very hard to get rid of, like Flu or Pneumonia) is easier to spread through anal sex because the soft tissues of the anus tear easier than that of a vagina, so sometimes HIV is not always spread when a man and woman have vaginal sex, therefore the mother did not have it if your friend does not have it!.

I'm assuming that both your friend and mother have been checked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

AIDS isn't spread by living with someone!. It's not spread by kissing a person!. Or sharing utensils, or sharing a bathroom, or towels!. It's not spread by hugging someone, or holding hands!. In other words, its not spread by any of the normal things that would happen between a girl and her father!.

HIV is spread through blood and semen!. I can't imagine she would have had a lot of contact with his semen!. And if she was careful to avoid getting infected with his blood (not borrowing his razor, for example) then there is no reason to think that she would NOT be perfectly healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hi, yr friend's father might hav been infected after she was conceived, or if even both parents were infected initially with hiv virus, answer is a yes, she can be born hiv negative!. if both parents had detected the virus in them early, prevention can be done to prevent the virus passing to the unborn baby!. not sure wat its called in medical terms but its a yes, and tat is y doctors always do hiv test for pregnant woman!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is a pill out there that women can take during there pregnancy that makes it have a 3/4 chance your daughter/son will not have HIV/AIDS when they are born regardless if you have HIV/AIDS, although its not 100%, 75% seems pretty good

you miss 100% of the shots you dont take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

he didn't bleed on her it is not like a cold that you can catch just by being around someone with it It is spread through body fluids

Added: for the clarification on what you were asking, Yes that is possible if he had it at her conception that she didn't catch itWww@Answer-Health@Com
