I am coughing up like flem thats as clear and solid as jellyfish!. Its literally like a bit into a jellyfish when I cough it up!. I also am weezing and I can taste my sinuses in my nose!. I've felt sick for probably 2 and 1/2 weeks now and Its not getting entirely better!.!.!.I am thinking maybe a cold, sinus infection, viral infection, or maybe strep throat!.!.!.!.please help I am really sick and my family doesn't even care!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your mucous is clear or white you probably don't have an infection!. Yellow or green mucous indicates infection!. Although, it could be yellow and just be allergies too-I know as I have that problem!.

Viral sinus infections will not respond to antibiotics, however bacterial ones will!. There is another type, fungal sinus infections!. Doctors usually assume they are all bacterial and prescribe medication right away without fully examining you and testing you!.
It sounds like your allergies are pretty bad this fall!. I really like the pulsating nasal irrigator I have because it keeps everything flowing so it won't build up and cause bacteria to grow-(which result in infections)!. I recommend that you get one and if you don't have the money for an electric one, just get a netti pot at your local CVS or pharmacy!. It should come with saline solution!. You can also try these throat drops-Organix-they are the best I've tried so far and they don't taste like cough drops!. You can also try Vic's Vapor Rub if you are having trouble breathing-I've never tried it but I hear it works well!.
If you want to go the medicine route, you can try Clarinex (it didn't work for me) or Children's Benadryl!. If you find Benadryl doesn't make you sleepy with one tablet-up it to two!. Follow the instructions on the box depending on your age!. (I use Children's because I don't feel as drowsy as I do with adult strength)!. Clarinex and Zyrtec usually won't make you drowsy, and I've heard it works for some people!.
If you have a cold or viral infection the best you can do is drink warm liquids and sleep!. There is no medication for viral infections!. I would also recommend an air purifier for your bedroom and dust mite covers for your bed!. I know these things can be expensive but they are very helpful with dust allergies!. Also, keep your room vacuumed and dust-free by dusting often and wipe down your bathtub and shower after use to prevent mold from accumulating!. Use bleach on any existant mold!. There are mold tests you can get at Lowe's for about $8 each!. You can also get a dehumidifier to keep your room dry so mold will not grow!.
I'm sure your family cares, but since they aren't going through it they do not understand how debilitating allergies can be!.

I would say your allergies got the best of you and now you have an infection!. As far as what kind you will have to go to a doctor and maybe have some lab work done!. At least your cough is active and getting the flem out!. I would go to you primary care physician or to a clinic!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
