Question: I am worried !! My 4 year old daughter has frequent urine tract infections~~!?
My daughter had 3 urine infections since she was 2 years old!. Now she is 4 and I think she is developing another one; because in the past week she is going to the bathroom a lot!. The last urine infection she had was around 5 o 6 months ago!. I'm extremely worried!. When she was 2 they did a test in where they could trace where the urine was going; the test came out good and 6 months ago they did a sonogram and they said that everything looked good; her kidney looked ok just a little swollen but moderate nothing to worry about; they said it was probably the infection she had!. But now !!!!!!! I see the symptoms coming again and I am soo worried can somebody help me to see why is this going on !?!? I have an appointment with her doctor tomorrow but i just had to ask here to see if somebody know anything about UTIs and to see if this is dangerous for my daughter; I don't want her to have so many infections all her life !.!. thank u

You don't have to worry because her body will learn to fight back as she gets older!. For the time being here's a couple of suggestions!. If she has been taking antibiotics like Cipro you might want to change to a different one!.
My Mom is in the nursing home and for years now she has been getting infections of the urine tract!. She always kept some Cipro around and it would always kill the infection but lately it hasn't helped!. The doctor thinks her body has become immune to Cipro so he's changing brands and going a little stronger!. She's getting them intraveniously for a week or two!.
Here's something I'll do to help!. I'm a Christian and I believe in God and I believe God answers prayer so I'm going to pray!.
Please bow your head!.!.!.!.!.Heavenly Father, we come to you to pray for this little girl and we ask that you would please heal her infections!. We not only ask for healing from the infections but we also ask that you would keep her from getting any further infections!. Touch this child Lord in Jesus name!.!.!.Amen!.

hydronephrosis (swelling of the kidneys) IS NOT OK! She needs to be seen by a urologist ASAP if she hasn't been already!. She needs a renal scan, VCUG, ultrasound, and blood tests!. Hydro is NEVER a good sign!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My grandaughter went through this same issue-scared my daughter half to death!. Come to find out she was wiping her bottom in the wrong direction for girls! Once my daughter got that issue straightened out with a little onsite training, the problem went away and she's been fine since!. She was just about your girls age and she just turned nine a month ago!. She hasn't had one in probably three or four years!. We had her here at the farm once when she had one and let me tell you the screaming just about drove me to the barn! I would assume it's quite painful!Www@Answer-Health@Com
