How to cope with Hayfever?!

Question: How to cope with Hayfever!?
Ok, so I've had hayfever ever since I was born and over the years it can be quite distracting and affects factors in my life, more importantly school!. After numerous tests, I have been told that I am allergic to Dust and Dust-mite, common substances in any home and any indoor/outdoor environement!.

As we approach the spring and summer season (blooming flowers can increase the problem), the symptons seam to get worse: watery eyes, itchy and runny nose, tired etc!.

I already take medication although it is not a permanent method for treatment!. In fact Ive noticed that my immune system has become a little reliant on this medication!. Stopping it for a few days can be a serious problem in terms of the strength of my hayfever!.

My question now is, what can I do to really minimise or stop hayfever!? Are there any tips, tools or methods of lifestyle that I should learn to adopt!?

Please note that I've already taken measures of my own, using Hypho-alergenic Tissues, bed-ware and we even went to the extent of replacing the carpet in our home with tiles!.

Also, a number of doctors have told me that whilst there are treatments, their clients seem to be not benefiting!.

Please help!!!

Note: Please give advice that I can take for use!. Please dont just say "see a doctor"

Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately there are no easy answers!. You seem to be doing everything you can to help make yourself but Mother Earth will do what she can do make you feel worst during hay fever times!. What you can do is use a filter mask over your face to help you from breathing in the spores but you'll look funny doing that on a daily basis, Or you can keep a damp handkerchief in front of your face when your outside, that too will filter out the spores that get in when you breathe!. Good Luck and as long as your taking medications to help relieve symptoms, there's really not much else you can do besides what you're already doing Unless you want to go through allergy testing but that wont' fix it, it will only tell you what your allergic too!. Sorry!.!. Wish I had better answers for you!. Good Luck Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take a table spoon of locally produced honey every day it will help build up your immune system to the allergens in your area!. But you have to make sure it was collected and produced locally, a good place to find it is at an orchard a lot of them have their own bee hives!. This is not an over night fix but a maintenance program

I have hayfever so i know this one!. Take anti histamines hun!. They work for me in summer!. You can buy it or ask your doctor for it on prescription!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to have really bad hayfever!. I was practically house-bound for five weeks in late summer and early fall!. What fixed my problem was allergy desensitization shots!. I had a series of shots lasting nine years!. It took two years before I could tell any improvement and another three years to get the maximum benefit!. Now I did not even have hayfever during that time of the year!. Also, I am no longer allergic to raw fruits and vegetables!. It has been six years since discontinuing the shots and I still have the benefits!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Michael: Make sure that your dust mite allergy is completely under control before the pollen season starts!. Doesn't sound like it is even though you have done some things like removing carpets!. Is every bed in the house completely covered with mite proof encasements!? Every pillow!? Every duvet!? Are all linens washed every 7 days in De-Mite solution!? Is any upholstered furniture, rug, curtain, or drape treated regularly with denaturing agents!? (Ideally those items should come out of the house)!. Make sure you have those basics covered!. During pollen season, keep all windows and doors closed!. Make sure that all of your HEPA machines are running on high!. Stay indoors on dry and windy days!. If you must be outside, when you come in shower, wash your hair, and change your clothes so that you do not spread the pollen through the house!. Keep pets inside too!. Their fur picks up the pollen when they go outside!. Do not hang clothes out to dry as they will only pick up pollen!. Wear something like a Q-Mask when you are out to repel the pollen particles!. The key to controlling allergies is controlling your exposure!. I am including a link to a booklet that you can download to read about living with allergies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

stay inside!.
