Is this food poisoning or allergic reaction?
I just got sick, and am not sure whats going on, i've never had some of the symptoms before. It felt like a run of the mill cold, fever, chills, headache, nausea. There was no vomiting or diahrea though. I had a shellfish pastafor lunch, at about 1, the symptoms started coming on at about 9. I didn't realize i was sick till the next day though. I was really sick for a day and a half. Now its started to dissipate, but my gums are extremely inflamed, i have never had this happen so I am led to think that it is not a cold. None of my friends are sick at all.

My advice is to see a Dr. Sounds as though you are allergic to shellfish. If you see an Allergist, you can be tested for this particular allergy. I have had food poisoning and I can tell you that vomiting is a VERY big part of that, also the other end.
