Should I get retested for chlamydia?
First test was done with a swab sample. Tested positive, meds were given. I went to get retested a few weeks later at a different place and my test was negative. Second test done with urine sample only. Should I get retested? Is there a difference in the type of test?

I work in the biggest chlamydia testing lab in the country and i can say that the meds probably worked and that is why your second test was negative. Swabs are slightly more sensitive, but an insignificant amount really or else why would they bother testing urine! Plus the samples from both places probably got sent to the same lab anyway, our lab covers 200 square miles so we gets all the tests within that area. However if you are still sleeping with the same person you caught it off in the first place you could be re-infected any time so if you are concerned it wont hurt to be tested again. urine is fine.
