Answers:
You should see a doctor, but not necessarily to take meds or a lot at least!. See a specialist on OCD and they will be the best bet on referring you to resources!. In the beginning, you might want to take something for anxiety/depression, because OCD is a coping mechanism for anxiety!. But there are many exercises and professionals who work on controlling OCD without or with little meds!. It's basically learning more positive coping skills to rely on instead of the OCD systems you do currently!. OCD is what we do as a distraction when we don't want to face a real problem, and your doctor would be able to recommend a good therapist!. For OCD, I think that therapy is more important than medication, because there you can explore your issues and coping strategies in a safe environment!. Unfortunately, though, there is no "cure" for OCD, BUT with a lot of practice you can get it under control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
