It's not just bad for kids; it's bad for everyone. There are numerous websites out there detailing the many different side effects of aspartame.
To Sapphire: If you happen to come back and read this, I'd strongly suggest doing research on Splenda before you eat any more of it. Splenda starts out as sugar, but by the time they're done with it, it's no longer chemically recognizable as sugar. It's actually chlorinated sugar! There are many websites out there about the dangers of Splenda/sucralose as well. In fact, I've had side effects from it myself. I wouldn't recommend using it.
