Question: To kiss or not to kiss!? Will he get it!?
I got a call last week from my doctor's office telling me I have Clamidia!. They put me on Doxycycline Hyclate to cure it!. I have three more days of pills to take!. I'll be finished with the pulls before wed!. On wed!. I have a date with a guy I met recently!. I know intercourse is out of the question!. However, can I kiss him!? I've read that Clamidia can get in your throat too, is that true!? Does that mean I can't french kiss him!? What about a kiss on the lips!? I already plan on telling him I'm sick, but not with what since it's so embarrassing!. I need help with this one!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes Chlamydia can affect you throat if you give a guy or girl oral sex and they have Chlamydia below the waist!.
If you have Chlamydia below the waist and not in your throat then it should be ok to kiss him!. You should let your boy friend know about this if you plan to become more intimate with him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hmm I think the doctors office would have told you that you have it either in the throat or down stairs !. Usually they tell you which part that the infection is in!. But I would definately get a hold of the doctors office again and ask them where the disease is at and see if you can french kiss or not on your date cause really IDK what to tell you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Chlamydia can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex!. Chlamydia can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth!.

Any sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia!. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection!. Because the cervix (opening to the uterus) of teenage girls and young women is not fully matured and is probably more susceptible to infection, they are at particularly high risk for infection if sexually active!. Since chlamydia can be transmitted by oral or anal sex, men who have sex with men are also at risk for chlamydial infection!.
