Skin problem.. pls help.. with pictures?!


Question: Skin problem!.!. pls help!.!. with pictures!?
Do u think this is psoriasis!? if not then what is it!? Its pinkish, scaly, and rough!.!.!. and another information:my late grandfather used to have skin psoriasis and my mom have a nail psoriasis!.!. And they say that psoriasis is a genetic disease!.!.

I wanna visit a dermatologist but my family would just want me to take herbal medicines, but i just cant say to them that i don't believe in herbal medicines!.!. huhuhu what should i do!?

Yes, it does look like psoriasis, which can develop pretty much anywhere on the body (except soles of feet and palms of hands)!. It is not necessarily hereditary, but you are at an increased risk for developing it if you have family members with the condition!.
You did not mention if it was itchy though, which would be a key piece of information as psoriasis itches!.
If YOU do not want to use herbal meds tell them that there is not enough research done with herbal medications to study the long term side effects of the medications and you would feel safer using a prescription drug!.

well i have never had psoriasis on my fingertips, but that is what it looks like you have!. best to see a derm on it!. as far as how to tell them you want to see a derm over herbal meds, well that just depends on your family relationship!. could you be honest and say you would like to see a derm!. if not maybe come to a compromise, like try the herb meds, and if you dont see results in x amount of time then go to see a derm!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
