Numbness in the legs??!

Question:

Numbness in the legs??

Im 27, and healthy apart from having two types of stomach diseases which I'm handling. I have been told I have poor circulation and I know that because I get woken up in the night with part of my body falling asleep painfully.
lately howeve,r I can't sit for long periods of time because my legs feel funny and there is this 'numbness' on my knees. No pain but I feel it in the mucles spasms and weired feeling.
I wake in the night with all my joints feeling numb. it's going on now all day. My legs feel heavy numb and spasmatic. My circulation can't be that bad! It is getting worse, is there anything I can take to get the bloody flowing better through my joints?

Answers:

Question for you? Does the DR know about these symptoms you have been experiencing? You stated that you have 2 types of stomach diseases - which tells me that you are probably on flagyl (metrondiazole)or some type of antibiotic. and those meds can lead to peripheral neuropathy. I know this because my mother has Chron's and was on if for a number of years and she suffers from the very same issues you are dealing with.

Could be any number of issues causingyour numbness.. thyroid problems too?

Also it may be a Vitamin B defiency and the cure for that is shots of Vitamin B shots that you can give to your self.
Mom does them all the time.

Your best bet is to EXPLAIN to the dr - u can get 1000 different clues and we can send you lots of links and fill your head with all kinds of terms and treatments- but you will just end up with depression of top of it all-LOL
- but UNLESS YOU ARE DIAGNOSED - i think taking advice here will harm you more then help you!

The question you need to be asking HERE is for SUPPORT and if you want to talk to others about WHAT YOU ARE GOING THRU , I am sure anyone will listen! i will and feel free to talk to me.

I WISH YOU WELL AND PLZ GO SEE A DOCTOR!
TAKE CARE.
THE SOONER THE BETTER- and you will be feelng better.

Do you have anyother ailment- problems with your back?
