H.P.V Question..?!

Question:

H.P.V Question..?

They finally did an hpv test on me, after doing two copholscopy's and it came back positive..and the cophoscopy's came back low grade, which is a good thing.. The dr. is hoping after I have the baby (35 weeks preg.) that my pap smear results will go back to normal, but my question is, is H.P.V. Currable? if not, how do they keep it under control?

I've heard it could be spread to the baby vaginally .. I'm already having a planned c-sec. this time, because I tore 3rd degree with my son.. I am also concerned, because i've never had an abnormal pap till I found out I was preg.. and could the h.p.v of lied dormant up untill I was preg.. and could I of had it before I had my son, and given it to him? How do I check to see if he has it?

Unfortunately, as with all viruses, once you have it you have it forever, or at least a trace of it (antibodies), (Fyi: This is how vaccines work). Now, symptoms can vary and they have a lot to do with how strong a person’s immune system is. Some people get warts, some ladies develop cervical cancer, and some lucky people suffer no effect from the virus at all. But it is so important to keep an “eye” on things down there. Get your PAP exam every 6 months, and if something is wrong get it taken care of ASAP.
EARLY detection is key when it come to preventing cervical cancer, tell someone!
