BTW i am 15 and i have it. I am on Lantus/Log and waiting for my pump to get here, and i was SIMPLY CURIOUS, not looking for treatment options.

I was diagnosed at 21, just a couple of months before my 22nd birthday.
It was at the end of my senior year of college. Boy was that a pain! All turned out well in the end, and now I'm on a pump and love it so much more than the Humalog/Lantus I was on before...
When I had my pump training I met a woman who had been diagnosed at 35 or 40. I was shocked! I had heard that up till 25 was actually possible, but that's the first time I heard of that late a diagnosis.
One other guy at the training had been diagnosed as a kid about 40 years ago and had had to spend a MONTH in the hospital. Wow...I'm glad technology and medicine have come farther. When I was diagnosed in 1990, I was in for 5 days and many folks now don't go in at all.
