Thyroid.....................!

I had Thyroid Cancer (Papillary) and had the thyroid completely removed 5 months ago!. I had absolutely no symptoms!. Not even the blood work showed any problems!. I have testosterone issues and gone to see a new endocrinologist!. After a routine exam, the doctor had felt a very small lump on the thyroid!. It was so small, but she asked me to get it checked!. I had the ultrasound done and they did find a 1!.3 cm nodule and they concluded that it was likey nothing!. But, my doctor ordered a biopsy!. Up to this point, I was not worried because they thought this was really nothing to worry about!. I did the biopsy and didn't think much after that!. The following morning, I got a call from my doctor telling me that it doesn't look good!. I really didn't hear any of this because there wasn't anything wrong!. My doctor continued to tell me the results of the biopsy and it showed it was clearly papillar thyroid cancer!. I didn't know what to make of all this!. She told me that I need to see a specialist because there are not too many good surgeons that do alot of thyroid surgeries!. They told me that it was rare for a male to have this!.

I had the surgery and shortly after that I had radioiodine treatments!. After that they did a couple body scans to see of the cancer had spread!. It didn't!. But, I still have to take meds the rest of my life and be checked yearly and a bood workup every couple of months!.

I was diagnosed with Graves disease a few years ago!. My hair started thinning and I lost a lot of weight (although I was trying to so I don't think it was all because of my thyroid), and my levels were hyper!. I didn't have all the symptoms but I did sweat a lot and it was really embarrassing!. My moods changed easily and I was really tired!.

I was on anti-thyroid meds but it didn't help so my dr!. had me have the radioactive iodine!. That made my hypothyroid and I gained weight but my dose right now seems to be working and I have started to lose weight again by eating good and exercising!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

My beloved bride suffers from hypothyroidism!. She has a problem getting rid of weight, low iron, low white-blood cell count, occasional problems with eczema and related skin maladies, low amounts of progesterone, and on one occasion when she was also fighting off a major infection, she suffered from a major bout of delirium and confusion!.

She's now on hormones, high doses of iron, and a thyroid booster!.

Low iron can cause thyroid problems!.!.!. and thyroid problems can cause low iron!.!.!. anybody see a vicious circle here!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
