what type of medication are you taking? what are some of the medication you advise me to ask for from my Dermatologist?

Do you have insurance?
Your insurance will probable cover an antibiotic (for inflammation and preventative), but ointments and creams may not be covered and can be very expensive. Always ask for samples.
Are you trying to get rid of blemishes and scars?
4% Hydoquine requires a prescription, but works great. You can find 2% at the store.
Benzoyl Peroxide will definetely dry out your skin and fade scars. You can find up to 10% at the store. Hydrocloric Acid is a great exfoliater and 1-2% can be found at the store.
Again, it's all in the strength of the medication, severity of your acne and desire and will to follow your doctor's instructions.

BRAND NAME: Benzamycin - Love it!
GENERIC NAME: adapalene
BRAND NAME: Differin - A rebate can be found online.
GENERIC NAME: tretinoin
BRAND NAME: Retin A - Great for wrinkles too.
