Why did I vomit after I donated blood?!
Question: Why did I vomit after I donated blood!?
I felt fine during my donation, but after I'd finished and was asked to sit up I began to feel nauseous!. Quite quickly I began to feel terrible, not light-headed exactly, but very nauseous until I vomited!. I was very hot and uncomfortable!.
After I placed my feet up and lied down I began to feel better and after I few minutes the horrible feelings had passed -- although I still felt weak!.
I spent the rest of the day lying down and drinking plenty of water!.
Today (the day after) I still feel weak and I look pale!. Am I ok!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Donating a pint of your blood means you are also donating fluid volume, electrolytes, glucose, and iron!. The sudden loss of any of those can cause symptoms!.
Re-hydrate yourself, eat a hearty nutritious meal, and you'll be back to normal in no time!. You're going to be fine, but you have to eat and drink!Www@Answer-Health@Com

also if you had not eaten anything before you went, you can get sick!. they usually offer snacks at a blood donation station for people who have not eaten before they came!. did they ask you whether or not you had eaten!?

Your blood pressure can drop after giving blood and can make you feel nauseated!. Keep drinking lots of water and you should feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
