If you had an STD would you admit it? Online or otherwise?!

Question: If you had an STD would you admit it!? Online or otherwise!?
It seems as though this is still a taboo subject yet with all these other sexually latent questions and answers, I feel the risks should be talked about out in the open too!.
<--once wanted to be a Sex Ed teacher!.

Q#2: Have you ever had an STD and kept the knowledge from your sex partner(s)!?
-Someone did that to me a few years ago!. Thank God we used protection! (Which I didn't always do, but I do now! ) And he told me right afterward, I guess the guilt weighed heavy on him even after using protection!. I am grateful he did tell me, yet still pissed off that he was weak and waited until after!. And that I had to waste my time and money to go to the Doctor to be sure I didn't get it!.
Q#3: Should I have had the doctor send him the bill!?

Answers:
Yeah, it's a taboo subject - but it *shouldn't* be!. I think the main problem with people is they assume most people with STDs sleep around, which of course isn't true!

No I've never had an STD thankfully!. But if I did, I would wait a while [but tell them before sleeping with them or doing anything else that could spread it]!. I don't think it's something I could say straight away!. And wow, I can't believe someone did that to you!

- You should, yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow!.!.!.how REFRESHING to see someone actually talk about STD's with some seriousness!

To answer your questions:

Q1!.!.!.Yes, I would!. I would NEVER want to infect another person!.

Q2!.!.!.No, I have never had one so I haven't had to keep that sort of secret!.

Q3!.!.!.I would send him the bill!.

1) Yes, it is still relatively taboo!. I remember growing up and getting cold sores (which I had gotten from the time I was 2 years old from fever and sun exposure) and getting teased mercilessly about it being herpes and that I was a dirty wh*re!. A six year old!? With an STD!? Unlikely!.

#2) Yes, I got Clamydia once!. I had been to my gynecologist and had my yearly STD checks!. My gyno got to tell me that my fiance was cheating on me!. Nice, huh!? I'd been with him for three years (and gotten my yearly STD screens)!. He admitted to cheating!. Jerk!. Just goes to show that regardless of how much you love and trust someone, you should never neglect getting your STD screen!.

#3) No, you should not send him the bill!. You're the one who slept with him!. Ever since my ex fiance, I got every potential partner to get screened before the relationship got sexual!. I'm married now, but I still get STD screened once a year!. Insurance pays for it anyway, but it's better to be safe than sorry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I might have HPV, but so does 70% of the population!.

I don't know which STD you mean, but Human Papillomo Virus is so common it isn't worth mentioning!. And males can't be tested for it!. That is why they are pushing the vaccine on preteens!. It is the "welcome to not being a virgin anymore" STD!. It's incurable, but only mild effects from it!.

Herpes and AIDS are very serious and can't be tested for, so it is VERY important to let a partner know about those!. If I had them I don't think I'd mention it, even online!. Too taboo!.

Other STD's are cureable, so if someone knew they had them, they should be busy seeing their doctor not chatting online!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i probably wouldnt admit it
except to my lover

no i have never had one!.!.!.so there was no need to tell anyone ever!.!.but if i did!.!.i would most definitely let it out before sexual relations happened

(to me!.!.its attempted murder at the very least)
they were all young girls!.!.!.stupid!.!.young and beautiful
whenever i would see one over there i would tell her
sometimes they would leave!.!.!.sometimes not
and the authorities said there was nothing illegal about it!.!.it was up to the girls to use protection
that is such BULLSHYT!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know about announcing it over the Internet, but I certainly would talk with anyone who it could directly effect!. I also was once told that I could have contracted a STD and I told the one other person I cad had sexual contact with before I could even find out if I had gotten it!. It ended up working out OK, I didn't have it nor did my other friend!. I think that we all have to accept the cost of any needed "treatment" for ourselves, because the other person may not have known that they had it yet, so I believe that we should take that cost part of the "cost of doing business"!. Good question and suggestion, It is always good for people to be open and honest about sexuality, but it is often difficult and people will let things just pass and hope that nothing bad happens!. That is why so much does happen!. If people would be more open and honest about their sexual health it would be a lot less of a concern!. Good luck!

Q3- Yes!. Guilty enuff to say AFTER the fact means guilty enough to pay to be sure!.!.!. and be happy you're not suing him and/or pressing charges!. In most states failure to notify a partner of an std is considered assault!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
