Answers:
I just did a check that said there are 44 causes of swollen neck lymph nodes! Hope that doesn't worry you more, but just to show that this doctor of yours is a bit casual, to say the least, about your complaint!.

You can ask to see a specialist, yes!. The GP usually decides if this is appropriate!. But if he says it isn't, you still have the right to a second opinion from another doctor!.

Calling you silly when you are telling your doctor your worries hardly promotes a good doctor-patient relationship!. Under your patient rights:

you have the right to be treated with respect
you have the right to be fully involved in all decisions about your treatment and care
you have the right to have different options for treatment explained to you!. This should include the risks and benefits of each option

You need to be able to have confidence and trust in your doctor, and you need to be able to talk to him about all your concerns!. Unfortunately, your doctor has failed you in these key areas, and it's right to find another one who will work with you better on your health issues!.

If you are a patient at a clinic, you can ask to see any of the doctors there!. If you are not at a clinic, you can change your G!.P!. easily!. To do this you simply find another doctor who is willing to treat you (before leaving the one you have now)!. You don't have to give any reasons why you are leaving your old doctor, nor do you have to tell him you are going!.

All the best, and I hope you start to feel better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You ALWAYS have the right to see another doctor for another opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
