It certainly is possible to have glucose readings in that range but normally, you would see ketones!. If you've had numbers in that range for a few days, go to emergency or your doctor's office and get them to check your readings for you with their meter!. Some drugstores have a diabetes educator on staff who will do it for you as well!. Running sugar that high for an extended period is a recipe for disaster!.

Yes!. It's possible if you have been drinking alot of water and peeing alot!. Water is used to "flush" out the keytones and it's totally possible that you've been flushing the ketones out and it's not registering with the strips!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, nearly two years ago my meter err-ed out because my daily finger prick reading were over 600 which my meter could not handle!. My HbA1C was 12!.1!. Visit my blog site and read my story!.

It's highly unlikely !.!.!. unless the raised blood sugar level has come on very suddenly!. It will normally take several hours before ketones become apparent, though that's not always the case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
