How can I find out if I am allergic to bee sting (poison).?

How can some one discover about his/her allergy to bee poison.If has been never stong before and does not have acces to a specialist at the time.

I had the same question at my allergists appointment a few months back. I have never been stung by a bee. (31 years old) They said that the only way they test you is if you have had a previous reaction. I'm hoping I'm not. I know I have quite a few allergies and when I get bit by mosquitoes....it gets ugly.
