Does this sound like ibs?!
Question: Does this sound like ibs!?
This might be long winded, but!.!.!.
Last wednesday, I had abdominal pain followed by diarrhea shortly after eating some carrots!. I felt drained the whole night but the diarrhea eventually stopped so I just tossed it off as a fluke!. The next few days, though, I was having abdominal pain that felt like gas!. I went to the bathroom everyday, and while it wasn't diarrhea, the stools were smaller than usual and formed but soft!. This has persisted for a few days, and I noticed that I get the abdominal pain sometimes while eating or shortly thereafter and the pain is lessened if i can have a bowel movement!. I haven't had any more diarrhea, just loose stools, and I don't feel pain after every single meal!.
Should I see a doctor about possibly having ibs or just wait and see if I get better!? I'm trying to eat healthier and see if that makes a difference!. thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

The symptoms you describe do sound like IBS, but you need to see your dr!. to be sure!. I had similar symptoms however I was diagnosed with gastritis!. The pain from gastritis is excruciating, and you've really got to get some help to get it under control!. If it's IBS I'm sure your dr!. will advise you what foods to eat and which to avoid!. IBS is diagnosis for long standing symptoms!. Yours have been only a few days, so its unlikely to be IBS!. It might be something you ate or a tummy bug which will pass!. But it is difficult to tell with limited information, so see a doctor if you are worried!. He will be able to check you out!. If you dont want to go to your doc just yet, give NHS Direct (0845 4647) a ring and they should be able to give you some information after going through some questions with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
