Am I allergic to my cat?!
Question: Am I allergic to my cat!?
We adopted a cat three weeks ago, I have no history of allergies!.
For the first two weeks everything was perfect, then last week I had a bad case of bronchitis!. (I've never had any chest infections before)!. I'm over the bronchitis now, just left with a bit of a cough, but today I've broken out in hives! I'm going through a stressful time at the moment, do you think I'm having a bad run of health, or is it related to the cat!?
I don't appear to be worse in his presence, or show any other allergic reactions, and for the first 2 weeks my health was fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm pretty sure that if you're going through a stressful time, then you aren't allergic to cats, but just in case, you might want to go to an allergy center and get tested!. Especially if the last time you were tested was a long time ago!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Go to an allergy specialist!. They'll make you take one of two tests: Blood scratch test, where they prick you and see if your body responds to different allergies, or they'll take a blood sample!. Typically, when I'm around cats, my eyes turn red, irritably, and scratchy, and I start sneezing because I'm allergic to cat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It may have taken that long for the cat dander to infiltrate your home!. I would go to an allergy specialist and see if you are allergic!.
I have a similar problem and only feel better when I am outside!. All of the filters I have tried are no match for cat hair/dander!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
