Sugar Levels at 167 while sick, is it normal?!

Sugar Levels at 167 while sick, is it normal?

I just check my sugar levels last night after a dinner roll and a half and 2 small bits of cake everything else was protine and my sugar was at 167 when I tested 2 hours later. I have to mention that I was comming down with an infection in my throat. Could all this make my sugar go up?

yes, when a person not only eats but has an infection the blood sugars go up.
