What is the rule of thumb in regards to a fever and when to see the doctor?!

Question: What is the rule of thumb in regards to a fever and when to see the doctor!?
Answers:
Call the doctor if a fever is over 104 or if a fever over 100 persists for more than 2 days!. If an infant has a fever over 100 you should call the doctor!. A fever is a sign your body is fighting infection, as long as your fever isn't over 102 you should just rest, drink lots of fluids and let the fever do it's job!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is an infant you go in no matter what if they have a temp!. If it is a child or an adult, typically if the fever won't go down with traditional treatments and has been present for more than two days, or if it is a low grade fever accompanying pain in the sinuses, ears, throat, or
abdomen, or if it is over 104 degrees F!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For newborns I believe it is any fever should be reported to the pediatrician!. Babies and toddlers should have a fever of 102+ for 3 days before calling the doctor!. Adults, I would assume the same thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd go if:
-high fever- could be a sign of infection
-severe pain
-cough that's productive
-if you are blowing out green or yellow snot
-vomiting blood
-vomiting 24+ hours

I've heard that anything over 100 or 101 degrees F is a significant fever, and you should see the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the age!. For an adult around 5-6 days strait!. Young child 4-5 days strait!. Lots of liquids!Www@Answer-Health@Com
