I recently stopped wearing a bra (its not new) after wearing it my right nipple would get so hard and itch like crazy and close to painful. I didn't worry until I wore my bathing suit top that is very comfortable and lots of room and it happened again same side

It could be because our body tends to be larger in our "dominant" sides.
For instance if you write with your right hand you are "right handed" and that often means that your RIGHT hand, foot & breast is larger than the left side ------ no kidding!
You may somtimes notice that one shoe usually feels tighter than the other shoe... same with gloves if you use them, and also with your bra.
So it sounds as though you just need to get a slightly larger size bra to allow for one breast being a little bigger... I dont know how old you are - so maybe you are still "growing up" and not wearing the right size bra for yourself right now.
This has happened to me in the past and I usually just spread some Herballife Aloe Gel on my nipple and check the bra doesn't have a lining that has "pilling" - (little fine fabric balls on the surface) and if it does, pick or cut any uneven fabric fluff off the bra... also see if the design of the bra has an uncomfortable fabric seam join where the nipple rests against the bra.
