Question: How contagious is strep!? is it airborn!?
My 6 year old is showing signs of strep throat!. His sore throat came on rather suddenly with fever and chills!. Hes in alot of pain so I gave him tylenol and am trying to get him to drink!. He says his tummy hurts and his lymph nodes are definitely enflamed!. His thraot looked red!. I think this is strep because there is a rumor its going around his school!. I'm keeping him out of school and taking him to the doctor in the morning!. I'm just wondering how contagious this is!? I have 2 younger children!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Strep is very contagious!. It is spread by airborne droplets by way of coughing and sneezing!. Children spread it quickly, because of contact with toys and hand to mouth cross contamination!. Strep can cause infections in other parts of the body, not just in the throat, so it is important that you have your child checked for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ask your doctor about the new FDA regulations that children not be given cold medicine!. Children's aspirin is safe but I don't know about Tylenol and a 6 year old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
