okay people!. don't freak this girl out!

your ex had something called a tuberculosis (TB) skin test!. they take a weakened strain and inject a small amount under the skin on your forearm!. then check the spot 2-3 days later to check for redness & swelling!. there shouldn't be either of those!. http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Mantoux_tes!.!.!.

people working in the medical field are required to be tested annually because they come into contact with sick patients with "unknown" illnesses on a daily basis!. the concern is because TB can be spread via airborne droplets (sneezing, breathing, coughing etc)!. basically the bacteria can destroy lung tissue but can also attack other parts of the body!. most people with healthy immune systems are able to fight off infection!. antibiotics can also be used as treatment!.

anyway, even though your boyfriend had a slight reaction - it could just be from the nurse not inserting the needle correctly, or he could be allergic to preservatives in the shot!. the other way to tell if he has TB or not is via a chest xray!. lots of nurses with many years of hospital experience will most likely come into contact with a tb patient at some point - and test positive but that doesn't mean they are contagious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tuberculosis is a bacteria that attacks the body in its weakest point!. That usually is the lungs!. It causes the tissue in the lungs to die!. You suffer from high fevers, sweats, and coughing!. If not treated it is often fatal!. It can be spread from the droplets of coughing!. It is most often caught by people with weakened immune systems and drug users!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its a common and often deadly infectious disease caused by mycobacteria!.
also known as 'TB'

you can have a 'TB' Vaccination jab, to help prevent you getting it!.
your most likely to get it is someone in your family has had it!.
