Getting blood work done?!

Question: Getting blood work done!?

So my girlfriend had blood work done today but she doesnt know why!. Her dad i guess just had her take a pill and said "youre getting blood work done tomorrow"!. She says she doesnt know why!.!.!.she may be lying!. If she isnt, what kind of blood work would you typically get done that you have to take a pill the night before!?
