Why did my 56 year old friend develop body hair after a heart attack?!

Why did my 56 year old friend develop body hair after a heart attack?
He had never had any body hair at all. Then, after a heart attack and consequent single heart bypass, he suddenly developed hair all over his chest, back, legs etc.. Why?
Answers:
I can only assume that this is due to his medication, rather than the procedure. The two drugs that do this most prominently are finesteride, which is used for treating prostate problems and Minoxidil which is currently still used for hypertension.
