Question: Swollen fingers and hand!?
Hi,
my boyfriend has had an injury involving his left hand for about a month now; his pinky finger is all swollen and difficult to move, he can't cross his pinky with his ring finger, there's a giant space between both fingers!. His entire hand doesnt function as well as it should!. Hes tried ice, but that only further numbs his hand (he can't feel it as it is) and he doesnt have enough money to go to the doctors right now!. Does anyone know what i could do to try and lessen the pain of it!?

Most likely an unresolved fracture in, or above the knuckle!.
An emergency room is required to treat this without payment if the patient can't afford medical care!. They may bill you forever, but they can't deny you stabilizing care, and that would include an x-ray and immobilization of the fracture!.

well if he can't feel anything from it he probolly has nerve damage, i had nerve damage in my palm and fingers and they were really fat and swollen the first couple of weeks then i had to get surgury for it!. i would call the doctor for help that way you don't need to pay anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Anyone at any age can have arthritis!. I think he has a fracture!. It will eventually heal but if it's a serious break he might need to get it checked out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
