i am 13 and i have had diabetes sence i was 10 i have type 1 my dad has type 2 and my grandma had type 1 and kanser and liver probloms but she died on feb. 21st and mt grandpa on my moms side has type 2 so i ggo alot in the family so if you need someing just ask.

I am sorry that this disease has attacked so many in your family. It is so good to see that you have learned about it and are able to be knowingly involved in your health plan. Since you are 13, I assume you are in a school setting. How do you handle your insulin and eating in that situation? Is the school cooperative in letting you eat and get your meds when you need them? Or do you have to plan around their time table? I am curious about this.
