Question: Is my daughter allergic to dogs!?
my daughter has brake out's with what looks like impetigo on her nose and her chin every so offten!. Only the doctor and health vistor are baffled as i have three children and the other NEVER get it!.
when she get's the break out it coes out as the blisters and then the scabs (ie like impetigo)!.
however when she used to sleep at her nans house she would coe out with it alot!. as we haven't been speaking to my mum up until yesterday she wasnt anywhere near a dog!. but my mum cae round yesterday with her dog and bam there it is the blisters on her nose!.
now i may just be trying to clucth at staws here but does anyone know or have the same symtoms when it cmes to dogs!?!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Allergy symptoms don't blister and scab - they tend to come out as itchy hives which disappear completely without leaving a mark when the allergic reaction has stopped!.
Allergy symptoms to a dog would be similar to those of a cat - hives on the face (and possibly body), itchy red eyes, maybe sneezing!.!.!.
I can't think what it could be - you could try dosing her with Piriton syrup (antihistamine) before she sees the dog next, and if there is no (or a reduced) rash, then you will know it's an allergy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't sound like a typical pet allergy especially as it's on her nose and chin!.
It's usually where a person touches the animal, hands, legs!.

You should take her to the doctor!.
He could do allergy tests to find the cause, IF he thinks allergies are the problem!.

It's possible!. It may be fur - hard to say, but if it is when she is near dogs and not at any other time then that is the most likely caseWww@Answer-Health@Com
it does sound like she is allergic to the fur!? go to your docs and ask for her to have an allergy test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
