I have been prone to such behavior after long periods of insomnia, or when working nights!. The body tries to sleep, the brain does not "shut down"!.
I have awakened to all the lights on, half-cooked meals, burned pans, water running and when I was a kid, I could be far from home!. My ex husband had similar issues and he drove the car once!.
